Aer Lingus cabin crew members have voted for strike action if the airline implements new work schedules that management insists are in line with a recently approved cost-saving program.
A spokesperson for IMPACT union said that beginning 25 August, its members will only work the rosters that were in place before the end of June, and will refuse to work the newer work schedules.
A spokesperson for Aer Lingus has suggested a contingency plan is in place and in the event the industrial action continues as planned, there will be limited or no disruption to flights.
Passengers planning to fly on Aer Lingus during the work dispute are advised to contact their American Express travel agency.
