Logistics Week reported on Thursday that flights are resuming at airports in Russia.
RIA Novosti reported at least 95,000 passengers have been stranded at various airports in the Moscow region during the past 24 hours because of heavy smog caused by wildfires raging across western and central Russia.
Many flights had to be diverted to other airports in other cities in Russia.
On Thursday, Sheremetyevo International Airport was operating normally, allowing both incoming and outgoing flights.
Domodedovo International Airport and Vnukovo International Airport are starting to resume normal flight operations, and are currently allowing flights to take off, the news source indicated. Operations remain subject to actual weather conditions.
